A-Arm Guards

“No matter what kind of terrain you’re riding on, your A-arms are always a vulnerable target when left unprotected. Even if you don’t find yourself grinding over rocky trails on a regular basis, our Can-Am Defender A-Arm guards from brands like Trail Armor are just as important for decreasing wear associated with riding over dirt or even concrete. Aside from their obvious role in protecting your A-arms, these aftermarket godsends actually have a pivotal role in protecting the CV joints and axle boots as well. It only takes one piece of loosened pavement, rock, or branch to pop up at just the right angle and speed to wreak havoc all the way up in these areas, so getting yourself a set of Can-Am Defender A-arm guards will bring you peace of mind across the board. Once upon a time, A-arm guards were indeed problematic in that they often caused debris to buildup and eventually damage the arms and other components with consistent friction, but those concerns have been worked around with clever design additions. For example, the Can-Am Defender A-arm guards in this category are now equipped with special drainage holes and slits so debris can make its way out. We’ve also got plenty of guard sets that cover more area than ever before, protecting your arms from all angles, while still allowing for ample ground clearance. If you want to see those hard-working A-arms make it another season or several, then protect your valuable investments and the parts around it with a set of Can-Am Defender A-arm guards from Everything Can-Am Offroad. “

And what about small parts, should you bring some of those along as well? Short answer, yes. A belt is good to have on the machine at all times, and having an axle in the bike or at the very least the truck is also good. It’s hard to know exactly where to draw the line with what to bring, but you definitely need to have room for a cooler full of beverages no matter what. And don’t forget to bring a clutch tool for changing the belt, electrical tape, crescent wrenches, and hose clamps.

Regarding at-home Can-am Defender tools, a grease gun is a must for greasing up wheel bearings. If you’re doing any work on the clutch, be it either the primary or secondary, you’re going to need a special CVT clutch tool if you want to do it right. This tool loosens the belt up by spreading the secondary sheaves, making it so that when you put it all back together, you can do so much easier and, more importantly, correctly. Your Can-Am Defender clutch isn’t something you want to cut corners on, especially since it is your main source to make a machine move. Of course there are ways around using specialized UTV tools, but for what they cost we would without a doubt just recommend buying the right tools to get the job done right the first time.
