Full Skid Plate Kits

“When it comes to armoring your UTV’s underbelly against the constant barrage of dust, mud, rocks, and more that come with offroad adventuring, there simply is no better selection than the Can-Am Defender full skid plate kits and bash plate systems at Everything Can-Am Offroad. Constructed out of 3/16” aluminum and ultra-high molecular weight plastic (UHMW), these skid plate kits are made to take the heavy hits that your transmission and other valuable components can’t. No matter how or where you ride, these full Can-Am Defender skid plate kits are made to cover every inch of your vehicle’s vulnerable underbelly, giving you the power to surge forward when you would normally turn around. And thanks being anodized or lined with corrosion-resistant paint, powder coatings, and other materials, these skid plates won’t tarnish, rust, or corrode. There certainly was a time when drivers could fab up a skid plate set of their own that would rival what was on the market, but thanks to the continued innovation and increasingly competitive pricing known to brands like Factory UTV, Ricochet, UTV Inc, and many of the other established brands we work with, it’s less time-consuming and much safer to get a ready-made Can-Am Defender skid plate kit and throw it on. In addition, these leading brands go beyond raw strength and superior fitment to provide a number of conveniences that a homemade setup would be hard-pressed to emulate, like sporadic drain holes that allow water and mud to escape and access points for easy oil draining and zerk servicing. If you want to completely eliminate all doubt while you’re riding through rough terrain, then it simply has to be a Can-Am Defender full skid plate kit from Everything Can-Am Offroad. “

And what about small parts, should you bring some of those along as well? Short answer, yes. A belt is good to have on the machine at all times, and having an axle in the bike or at the very least the truck is also good. It’s hard to know exactly where to draw the line with what to bring, but you definitely need to have room for a cooler full of beverages no matter what. And don’t forget to bring a clutch tool for changing the belt, electrical tape, crescent wrenches, and hose clamps.

Regarding at-home Can-am Defender tools, a grease gun is a must for greasing up wheel bearings. If you’re doing any work on the clutch, be it either the primary or secondary, you’re going to need a special CVT clutch tool if you want to do it right. This tool loosens the belt up by spreading the secondary sheaves, making it so that when you put it all back together, you can do so much easier and, more importantly, correctly. Your Can-Am Defender clutch isn’t something you want to cut corners on, especially since it is your main source to make a machine move. Of course there are ways around using specialized UTV tools, but for what they cost we would without a doubt just recommend buying the right tools to get the job done right the first time.
